Why “Euno”?

Euno comes from eunoia (εὔνοια) — an ancient Greek word meaning “beautiful thinking” or “goodwill toward oneself.” We shortened it to Euno because it sounds like “you know” — a quiet nod to the self-awareness at the heart of mindfulness. You already know what you need. Euno just helps you hear it.

Intentional by design

Personalized, not random

You choose your intent and your tone, and Euno selects affirmations that match — not random quotes pulled from a database. Every intent category is available on every tier, including the free one, and new categories arrive through app updates at no extra cost.

Shows up at the right time

Set your schedule and Euno delivers one affirmation as a local notification at the time you chose. Notifications only ever fire when you scheduled them — never to pull you back in.

Designed to be put down

One affirmation at a time. No feed, no scroll, no streak. Open it, read it, close it. Euno is built to respect your attention, not capture it.

Your data stays on your device

Euno stores everything locally. No accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, no data leaving your phone. New affirmations arrive through App Store updates — the app itself never makes a network request. Your inner life is not a data point. Period.

How Euno works

1

Pick your intent.

Calm, Focus, Confidence, Resolve, Grounding — and more arriving over time. Choose the tone that sounds like you: direct, gentle, or grounded.

2

Pick your time.

One affirmation a day, whenever you want it. Morning before the noise starts, or evening when it stops.

3

Put it down.

It arrives, you read it, you close it. There's no feed to scroll, no streak to protect, and nothing waiting for you when you come back.

Your calendar never leaves your phone

Euno can read your calendar to choose a more relevant affirmation on days that matter. Interview in the morning, and the day's affirmation is about confidence. Surgery on the calendar, and it's about calm. A flight, and it's about grounding.

All of it happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, nothing is analyzed on a server — because there is no server. Euno reads the calendar entry, picks an affirmation, and forgets.

It's entirely optional, and you're asked for permission only once you've been using Euno long enough to decide whether you trust it. Turn it down and nothing breaks: you get the affirmation you would have gotten anyway. You'll still only ever receive one notification a day. Euno gets smarter, not louder.

Why Euno exists

Most affirmation and meditation apps track what you read, when you open the app, how long you stay, and what brings you back. They optimize for engagement metrics and report those numbers to investors. Your inner life becomes a line item on a growth dashboard.

Euno was built to be the opposite. The free tier collects nothing, and it isn't a trial — it doesn't expire, downgrade, or start charging you. When you upgrade, you're paying for features, not buying back your own privacy.

Questions

The app

What is Euno?

Euno is a privacy-first affirmation app for iOS. You choose an intent — Calm, Focus, Confidence, Resolve, or Grounding — and a tone, and Euno delivers one matching affirmation a day as a local notification at a time you pick. Everything is stored on your device: no accounts, no cloud, no tracking.

When does Euno launch?

Euno is launching on iOS — a specific date hasn't been announced yet. Waitlist members are emailed first, on the day it goes live. An Android version is planned to follow within a few months of the iOS launch.

How does Euno work?

You pick an intent and a tone once, then pick a time of day. Euno delivers one affirmation matching your choices as a local notification at that time, every day. There's no feed, no streak, and nothing to scroll — you read it and close the app. All affirmations are bundled with the app itself, so it works with no internet connection.

Why does Euno only send one affirmation a day?

Because more wouldn't help. Euno is designed around a single daily affirmation on every tier, free and paid, as a deliberate constraint rather than a limitation — an app that pings you six times a day is competing for your attention, which is exactly what Euno was built not to do. Paid users can set a different time for each day of the week, but it's still one affirmation a day.

What affirmation categories does Euno offer?

Euno launches with five intent categories: Calm, Focus, Confidence, Resolve, and Grounding. Additional categories — including Stoic Practice, Gratitude, and Boundaries — are added over time and become available to every user, free and paid, through ordinary App Store updates. You also choose a tone, so the same intent can arrive direct, gentle, or grounded depending on how you want to be spoken to.

Is Euno a meditation app?

No. Euno does affirmations only — there are no guided meditations, breathing exercises, or sleep stories. It does one thing: delivers the right affirmation at the right time, then gets out of your way.

Does Euno work offline?

Yes. Every affirmation is bundled with the app, so Euno works in airplane mode and never needs a network connection to function. New affirmation categories arrive through App Store updates rather than by downloading content in the background.

Is there an Android version of Euno?

Euno launches on iOS first, with Android planned to follow within a few months. Euno is built on a cross-platform codebase, so the Android version is the same app rather than a stripped-down port. Join the waitlist and select Android to be notified when it's ready.

Privacy

Does Euno collect my data?

No. Euno collects nothing. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no data leaves your device — which also means Euno's developer cannot see what affirmations you read, when you open the app, or what you write in your journal. This isn't a policy that could change; it's how the app is built.

How does Euno use my calendar?

With your permission, Euno reads your device's calendar to choose a more relevant affirmation on days with high-stakes events — an interview, a medical appointment, a flight. All of this happens on your device, using on-device processing only. No calendar data is uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. The feature is opt-in, you're not asked for it during setup, and declining it changes nothing about how the app otherwise works.

Is my journal private?

Yes. Journal entries in Euno are encrypted and stored locally on your device. They are never synced to a cloud service, never transmitted, and cannot be read by Euno's developer — there is no server to read them from. You can export your entries in an encrypted format whenever you want them elsewhere.

How is Euno different from other affirmation apps?

Most affirmation apps are built to maximize screen time through feeds, streaks, social features, and behavioral tracking, and most are free because your data or attention is the actual product. Euno is built to be put down: one affirmation a day, delivered on your schedule, stored only on your device, with no analytics of any kind. Its calendar-aware affirmation selection runs entirely on your phone rather than on a server — an approach that's only possible because there's no cloud infrastructure to begin with.

Pricing

Is Euno free?

Yes, and permanently. Euno's free tier includes every affirmation and every intent category, including ones added in the future, with one tone and one affirmation a day. It isn't a trial — it never expires and never converts to a paid plan. Euno's paid tier costs $6.99 per month or $44.99 per year and adds encrypted private journaling, calendar-aware affirmation selection, the ability to switch tones anytime, and a different delivery time for each day of the week.

What do I get if I pay for Euno?

Four things the free tier doesn't include: encrypted private journaling, calendar-aware affirmation selection that runs on your device, the ability to change your tone whenever you like rather than choosing once, and a different delivery time for each day of the week. Every affirmation and every intent category is free for everyone — you're paying for capability, not content.

Why does Euno cost money when other affirmation apps are free?

Free affirmation apps typically make money through advertising, data collection, or engagement metrics reported to investors. Euno's free tier does none of that — it's genuinely free, with no tracking, and it includes the full affirmation library. The paid tier exists because building and maintaining the app costs money, and charging directly is the only funding model compatible with collecting nothing. You can use Euno free forever, or pay to unlock journaling and on-device intelligence.

What happens to my email address after launch?

It's used for one launch announcement and, rarely, a critical update — then nothing. Euno's waitlist isn't sold, shared, or used for marketing sequences, and you can unsubscribe at any point. It isn't connected to the app in any way; the app itself never asks for an email address.

Hear about it once. Then we'll leave you alone.

Join the waitlist and we'll email you when Euno is live on the App Store. One launch email, the rare critical update, and nothing else — which is roughly the amount of attention we think you owe any app.
